Danika Kerner | Danika is a second-year Communications and Sociology double major. Her historical interests primarily revolve around the Cold War and its implications throughout Europe, including the rise of the KGB and the fall of the Berlin Wall. However, she is also more recently interested in the history of sexuality and gender in the United States throughout the 19th-21st centuries. Outside of class, she works at the University Center and enjoys hanging out with friends, swimming, and finishing her GoodReads list.
Jackie Pucillo | Jackie is a second year History of Public Policy and Law major and also pursuing a minor in Spanish. Her main historical interests involve US history, specifically American law and politics during Reconstruction and the early 20th century. During her free time Jackie enjoys spending time outdoors, hanging out with friends, running, and watching movies. 
Ela Schulz | Ela is a third-year History and Political Science double major. Her historical interests include political history across the world, specifically the shifts in authority and governance between world powers and their impacts on domestic policy. Outside of class, she spends much of her time debating with the UCSB Model United Nations team and works with her local Community Services District. In her free time, she likes to read, spend time with her friends, and complete puzzles.
Sophia Yu | Sophia is a third-year History of Public Policy & Law and Economics major. Her historical interests involve American history, particularly the history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. She is passionate about expanding her historical knowledge to better address and understand modern societal issues. Outside of class, she serves on the boards of the UCSB Pre-Law Society and the UCSB Associated Students Election Board. She is also on the staff of the Taiwanese-American Student Association, where she envisions helping create a community celebrating AAPI culture. In her free time, she enjoys watching sitcoms, spending time with her friends, and painting. 
Sara Stevens | Sara is a third-year History major from El Segundo, CA. She enjoys learning about all areas of history, but is particularly interested in ancient civilizations and Medieval history. She also works part time and is a member of Phi Sigma Pi. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and attending concerts, taking photos, and baking (especially sourdough).
Lauren Ko | Lauren is a fourth-year History and Sociology double major. She enjoys learning about most areas of history, but is especially interested in ancient civilizations, the Asian diaspora, advertising and propaganda, women in the Middle East, and classical antiquity. When Lauren isn’t busy with class or the Journal, she can usually be found working in student leadership for various organizations on campus. In her free time, she enjoys baking, karaoke, reading, watching movies, collecting blind boxes, and hanging out with friends.
Sherry Huang | Sherry is a fourth-year History major and English minor. She likes all areas of history but is most interested in the history of science and tech as well as economic history. She also likes ancient history, the Cold War, medieval witchcraft, Samurai history, and really anything. In her free time, she likes running, crafting, drinking boba, and hanging out with friends.
Kate Erickson | Kate is a third-year History of Public Policy and Law major with a Museum Studies minor. She loves any and all areas of history but is currently focusing on American legal history, namely the evolution of public policy throughout the 20th and 21st century and the impact of landmark Supreme Court rulings on the nation’s society, culture, and individual rights. Outside of the Journal, she works at the Bren School and is part of the History Club, GirlUp, and the Undergraduate Law Journal. In her free time, you’ll find her reading (she loves getting recommendations!), playing tennis, going to the beach, and building things in the Sims
Vanessa Manakova | Vanessa is a third-year history major. While she loves all fields of history, she is currently fascinated by the Eastern Roman Empire during Late Antiquity, specifically on the role of women in the Eastern Orthodox Church. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys spending time with friends, drinking and making soup.
Enri Lala | Enri is a third-year History and Global Studies major. Born and raised in Albania, his primary interest is European history with an emphasis on the Balkans. Outside of his love for history, he is a member of the Ethics Bowl team, where he enjoys spending many hours arguing with his teammates about sundry philosophical issues.
Benjamin Ortiz | Ben is a third-year History major. There isn’t a part of history Ben wouldn’t enjoy discussing but he especially enjoys American History. He is excited about pursuing a P.h.D and one day becoming a professor of his own. He also has a huge passion for the outdoors and cooking.
